What it's like to work with me, and how to begin.
Getting started
No GP referral needed. Simply reach out via the contact form on the homepage and I'll be in touch within a few business days to arrange a brief initial chat and find a time that works.
The session
Format
Sessions are 45 minutes. We can meet in person, online via secure video, or by phone, whatever suits you best. Most people begin weekly then adjust frequency as things settle.
Where we meet
In-person sessions are held at Wellshare, a private consulting suite inside the Dymocks Building at 428 George Street, a short walk from Town Hall and Martin Place. I hire the rooms by the hour, so the space is quiet and used only for client appointments.
Fees & payment
$150 per session, payable on the day by PayID or bank transfer. Payment details are provided on booking confirmation.
Sessions with a counsellor aren't covered by Medicare rebates, and don't require a GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan.
Cancellation policy
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
48 hours or more — no charge
24–48 hours’ notice — 50% of session fee ($75)
Less than 24 hours or no-show — full session fee ($150)
If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, reach out and we'll work it out.

We slow things down. You won't need your whole story on day one. I'll ask what's been hard, what you'd like to be different, and together we'll find a pace that feels safe.

That's completely normal, and it's part of what I'm there for. You don't need to arrive with a clear story or the right words. We'll start wherever you are, and I'll ask questions that help things take shape.

It varies. Some people come for a handful of sessions to work through something specific. Others stay longer when the work is deeper or ongoing. We'll check in regularly about how things are going and what you need. There's no fixed course, and you're free to stop or pause whenever it feels right.

Anxiety and overthinking, low mood and depression, grief and loss, trauma and past experiences, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. If you're unsure whether your situation fits — reach out and we'll talk it through.

For many common concerns, online therapy performs as well as face-to-face. If you're unsure, we can start online and switch formats anytime.

Yes. What you share stays between us. I keep records securely and won't pass on your information without your consent. The only exceptions are rare. If there's a serious risk to your safety or someone else's, or if a court requires the records, I'm obligated to act. We'll talk through how this works in your first session.
